6. Technical information about accessibility
This website’s consumer purchase flow is partially compliant with Level AA of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.1.
This website was published on 2020-02-01. In 2025, Svedbergs initiated a digital development project aimed at identifying and addressing accessibility barriers. The goal is to resolve the majority of known issues and to ensure the site’s purchase flow meets Level AA compliance by the end of September 2025. Some elements will not be resolved until late 2025, as they were not included in the project scope. Technical testing has been conducted continuously.
Action Plan
The purchase flow content to be addressed and when is described below.
-
-
Issues to be resolved on product pages in September 2025
- Machine-readable labels are missing.
- It is unclear whether a dropdown menu has any selectable options, and therefore may not expand.
- The attribute title is identical to the ALT text in multiple locations.
- In mobile view, touch targets are too small and lack sufficient spacing.
- Certain elements in the product filter lack associated label elements.
Individual product pages
Issues to be resolved on individual product pages in September 2025
- Some footer links do not have recognizable names.
- Machine-readable labels are missing.
- Heading elements in the footer are not structured sequentially or hierarchically.
- In the footer, the “title attribute” is the same as the “text content” and should be changed to “Navigate to XXX”.
- Unique aria-labels are missing in the footer, making it unclear to screen readers.
- In mobile view, spacing between touch targets needs to be increased to avoid mis-taps.
Image material
Issues to be resolved in image content during 2025–2026
