Colour and form

Colours make such a great impact on the feel of your bathroom. The darker and warmer the colour – the smaller will the bathroom feel. Avoid dark colours in small rooms, particularly in combination with a light-coloured floor. Contrasts give life to the bathroom. Choose calm and light background colours for colourful and lustrous furniture. On the other hand, light furniture comes into its own against stronger, more daring background colours.

Light and sound

Do you want to be able to turn a dimmer smoothly from an enticing atmosphere of subdued lighting to strong lights for your daily work in the bathroom? You may perhaps be able to use natural light from outdoors, or possibly create effects by admitting light through a glass-block wall. And the sound ... you may want to arrange a film projector or a complete stereo system so that you will be able to listen to your favourite music while relaxing in the bath.

Then consider the things to which you want to give priority. Tiles from floor to ceiling or wallpaper? Quarry tiles, underfloor heating or perhaps a wooden floor in some parts of the bathroom? Shower or luxurious massage bathtub? Remember that quality pays in the long run.
